THE CHALLENGE 

KBC needed to sign up students to open bank accounts as well as create visibility for the brand near colleges in Ireland.

OUR PROCESS

  • We established a guerilla marketing campaign located outside college campuses nationwide.

  • We educated students on the benefits of banking with KBC while signing them up to open accounts.

Results delivered

  • In 2015, the target was 10,000 new student account sign ups. We exceeded this by signing up over 14,000 students to open KBC bank accounts.

  • In 2016, with less resources, we signed up nearly 12,000 students to open bank accounts.

  • Our presence around colleges created massive brand exposure for KBC towards 18-24 year olds.

  • Our work on these campaigns have helped establish KBC as the go to bank for students across Ireland.
